No Apology in Salman's reply to NCW notice

on Jun 29, 2016

Salman Khan has finally replied to the notice issued by the National Commission for Women (NCW) for his 'raped woman' remark but did not issue an apology. NCW Chairperson Lalitha Kumaramangalam told reporters that, “Salman Khan has replied to our notice. We are not going to reveal the contents of the letter, it would suffice to say that the letter does not sound apologetic".

Salman had earlier made that remark while explaining how gruelling the wrestling sequences for his upcoming film "Sultan" were as he plays the role of a wrestler in it. Though his father Salim Khan has apologised for his son's remarks, Salman didn't acknowledge the journalists when they confronted him with this issue. Most of the Bollywood stars though were tight lipped when this controversy started. No big star has commented on this so far.
