Karan Johar's Bad Decision On Oopiri?
on Mar 31, 2016
Bollywood's highly talented director-producer Karan Johar is known for his ability to pick talents, scripts and also business acumen. Right now he has purchased the remake rights of Telugu film "Oopiri", though he has the remake rights of "Intouchables" in hand. Any guesses why?
Actually Karan Johar wanted to Indianise Intouchables from a long time, but he hasn't come up with any interesting ideas. Now that Nagarjuna and Vamsi Paidipally have carved out the film to suit Indian sensibilities, with some extended backstories, Karan feels that he should remake Oopiri rather remaking Intouchables.
In the first place, only after looking at the perfect box office report, Karan Johar should have taken that decision. Otherwise what's the use in making Intoucbales into an Indianised version?
