Namrata Shirodkar, The New Producer!!

Confirming her presence in the marketing of Mahesh Babu’s latest movie “Srimanthudu”, his wife, former heroine and Miss India crown winner Namrata Shirodkar stated that she is quite excited to look after “G Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt Ltd”. She explained, why did they started this production house, her role, and the way this production house is going to function in the future.

“Almost all the Bollywood’s big stars are co-producing there films. Rather pushing producer to pay more in advance and choke him, it’s better if we take a cut from the profits. Only bigger stars could expect such cut from later profits, and Mahesh will be doing that from now onwards”, says Namrata, adding that he will also star in other productions, but those he liked to the heart will have him as a co-producer. Will Mahesh producer films for himself only? “No, Mahesh will lend his name to any movie he likes. Maybe we’ll produce some short budgeted films too”, she avers.

Is Namrata taking shots on story and casting too? “For the now I’m limited only to marketing side of the movie. Srimanthudu has an active producer, Mythri Makers, who took care of everything from production to casting. Marketing is a commanding job and I’m happy to do it”, said Namrata. Before concluding, she hinted that Mahesh will do a Bollywood film when right script comes.
