Manoj Starrer Current Theega movie is on air to release on 17th October 2014. Current Theega Directed by G . Nageswar Reddy , Which was remake of Tamil Movie titled Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam. Sunny Leone is Playing an innovative role . Manoj Next Compilation is with New Director with Ramesh Puppala Production.
How Did Current Theega Project Started ?
I was trying to Work With G. Nageswar Reddy from past two Years when Denikaina Ready was going on I was impressive with his work . Later We've tried for a project but it didn't work out, Finally he came up with story of Tamil film, Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam, I fell in Love with the story as Love at First Sight. Then we started the journey of Current Theega.
Current Theega was remake of Tamil film but we made so many changes as per story needs. Run time of our movie so less than Tamil ones . We changed the some Comedies, Action sequence and Fights as our Telugu audience needs.
What are the Characterization of Film ?
I am playing a leader of VIP association in a village, association consists of young people who will be giving a solutions to problems raise in village in exotic way. Till I had love tracks for few minutes but in Current Theega I has very cute love track and emotion carried in the film.
What different character you Showed in this film, compared to your previous films ?
My self completely changed to manly character and very sarcastic role. I had acted boyish characters in my previous films but my director changed me completely to manly characterization.
What is the Story behind roping Sunny Leone ?
We have planned many actresses for the teacher role in film . My friend Ranjith suggested , Why can't we take sunny leone ? Team members heard of Sunny's talk and every one were very excited and I liked his idea and roped her in C T. we took her for excitement factor.
What was the reaction from your father roping of sunny ?
We have only said that she is a B”Town actress and She has a good following among youth when he asked why should we spend so much money on her, later my father praised her work and way of respect among others. One day Ram Gopal Varma told him about her , I was so tensed but we convinced him. My father doesn't know who Sunny Leone is until RGV said.
She is a very good actress we have to appreciate her in way of dedication she showed on work. We have to respect Sunny's way she changed herself from a porn star to a superstar.
We heared Current Theega received “A” certificate only because of Sunny leone ?
I have to clarify on this. C T didn't receive A certificate only because of Sunny , but because of the dancers in the item song were dressed in MTV style but there is no vulgarity in the song . Even family audience feel comfortable with item song.
You said you are playing Manly Character but Heroin Rakul Preet Singh seemed as a School girl , How does the love track done between you and her ?
Yes, Rakul Preet playing as female lead as all you know and she played a school girl character in film. I can't reveal this subject because you will only know and understand when you watch film for few minutes.
Tell us about Jaggu Bhai
My self thought of Jaggu Bhai to play the charater of heroine's Strict father, Who is against love . When I called up and asked him to act , he immediately responded positively and agreed. We had good family relation I call him as bro , He I thank him for acting in this film.
Relation between You and Music director Achu
Achu is an highly immensely talented music director, I met him for the first time during my bro's “Krishnarjuna”. He works keyboard player at M M Keeravani I was impressed with his way of work and made him music director for “Nenu Meeku Telusa”. He has given good tunes for Current Theega.
We heard that Sampoornesh Babu played a very interesting character in the film. Tell us something about his character ?
Sampoornesh Babu played a very entertaining character in this film. I can't reveal about his character now and it should be better watched on screen.
Why do u Prefer Risky Stunts for your films ?
I am a big fan of Jackie Chan since my childhood and I love to do action sequence by my own style. I do prefer risky stunts without using ropes and dupes. I am a big fan of Rajendra Prasad I got his acting skills.
What are the highlights of the film ?
The songs, Tirumala Kishore's dialogues and everything in the film is a highlight. A very good team has worked for our film and everyone has contributed well.
Your family got connected to RGV well. Your father, brother and sister acted in his direction. Do you have any plans of working with RGV?
RGV is a workaholic and he doesn't waste time discussing about others. He only thinks of his work every minute. Even our family members don't waste time talking about others. So we got connected to him well.
Right now I've no plans of acting in RGV's direction for the next eight months and I can't tell if I will work with him in the future.
We heared that you are interested to play Anti Lead Character ?
After watching my character in "Uu Kodathara ? Ulikki Padathara ?", many are asking me to play negative roles. I am interested in playing negative roles. Right now, I am planning to do villain in a film and I will announce it soon.
We heard you are having dream to Direct a film ?
Yeas , I'm interested in direction and I will definitely direct a film in the future.
What are your upcoming projects ?
I will work with producer Ramesh Puppala soon and the details of my other films will be announced shortly.
What happened 'Son Of Peddarayudu' project ?
When we were discussing a script, I said that the lead character in it is like son of Peddarayudu. Everyone said that the title 'Son of Pedarayudu' will suit the film well and Ramesh Puppala announced it. I don't know what to do as I didn't finalize the script yet. I don't think the film will go to sets anytime soon.
Finally , Current Theega is energetic High voltage film , film will be entertaining and audience love it
