Telugu cinema market has been escalating in terms of theatrical and digital business. In fact, we have biggest market in South when it comes to overseas business. Demand is vast for satellite and other rights.
Coming to the actual point, Star Maa is said to have offered Rs 39 crores for non-theatrical rights (satellite and digital rights) of superstar Mahesh Babu’s Bharath Ane Nenu (BAN). However, makers of the film are yet to make a decision on this. As per reports, discussions are going on between two parties.
Mahesh Babu films usually make excellent satellite business since the actor has good following among family audience. Mahesh Babu’s first film with Koratala Siva i.e. Srimanthudu was a super hit at box office and small screen.
Interim, BAN is nearing completion. The political drama film will hit the screens in summer, whereas first look teaser will be released for Republic Day.
