Rich skills bombarded with highly dedicated artists, the Telugu Film Industry has evolved to be one of the biggest industries of Indian Cinema. With giant competition, heroes take every movie of their's as a challenge. Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Tiger Bala Krishna are some of the stars, who bear the pride of elevating the movie industry in whatever place it stands now. These both have evolved to be the finest artists with their prowess, commitment, and competitive spirit. Here we bring to you, some of the times these both clashed at the box-office, competing  with each other. 

Sankranthi is a festival of 'Hope'. This festival is celebrated as the harvest festival, on which the farmers reap their crops. It represents prosperity and it falls int the month of January when the sun begins to move away from the Tropic of Capricorn. Communal gatherings, huge celebrations followed by Kite flying and Cock-fighting is the main theme of this festival. Cock-fight reminds of the competition. Competition at the box-office. Competition of the huge stars!!!!

Sankranthi release is always considered very special, for any movie in Telugu. The game at the box-office doubles the spirit when two bigwigs give an exciting competition. There are many times Chiranjeevi and Bala Krishna's movies stood as the competition for each other. Here is a list of the movies of these heroes, that gave a 'tug of war' type of competition during Sankranthi. 

1. 1988- Chiranjeevi's "Manchi Donga" and Bala Krishna's "Inspector Prathap".
2. 1997- Chiranjeevi's "Hitler" and Bala Krishna's "Peddannayya".
3. 1999- Chiranjeevi's "Sneham Kosam" and Bala Krishna's "Samara Simha Reddy".
4. 2000- Chiranjeevi's "Annayya" and Bala Krishna's "Vamsodharakudu".
5. 2001- Chiranjeevi's "Mrugaraju" and Bala Krishna's "Narasimha Naidu".
6. 2004- Chiranjeevi's "Anji" and Bala Krishna's "Laksmi Narasimha".

This time, it is going to be the clash of clans again, as Bala Krishna's 100th movie "Gautami Putra Shatakarani" is to compete with Chiranjeevi's 150th movie "Kathilantodu". Both the movies are currently under making. Gautami Putra Shatakarani is being directed by Krish, while Chiranjeevi's movie is the remake of Tamil movie Kathi and is being directed by VV Vinayak. It is the time, industry is going to face the huge competition after so many years. There are many speculations and guesstimates regarding these two movies. The fans of both the heroes are more than just excited for the release of these movies. Hope both the movies stand as the greatest movies....
