Why Akhil Wedding Called Off?

Akkineni Akhil got engaged to industrialist GVK Reddy’s granddaughter and fashion designer Shriya Bhupal couple of months ago. The duo was supposed to enter wedlock in summer, this year. About 700 guests were to fly to Rome for the destination wedding including several top industrialists, big names from the southern film industries, and some top stars from Bollywood. A lot of preparations were made and everything was in place. Hotels and resorts were booked. To everyone’s surprise, the high-profile wedding has been called off.

Over the last few days many invitees who had already booked air tickets to Italy were asked to cancel them. Messages went out last Saturday to guests to cancel their program. Those who were about to book tickets were advised not to go ahead. Even the tickets booked by both families have been cancelled, as per reports.

It is heard that, both the families had get-together recently and they differed over few issues which led them to call off the wedding. Though Nagarjuna was not willing and tried best not to cancel the wedding, GVK family seems to have not in mood to go ahead over marriage.

However, there is no official confirmation yet from both the families over cancellation of the wedding!
