Ae Dil Hai Mushkil faces trouble

Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ is under the threat of its release being stalled because of Pakistan actor, Fawad Khan, starring in it. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) said that they will not allow the movie to be released as a Pakistani actor Fawad Khan stars in it. MNS has also targeted Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Raees’, which stars Mahira Khan a Pakistani actor, which is slated to be released in January next year. Though Fawad Khan has comparatively a small role in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the party has taken some strong offence to his presence in the movie and has warned that the movie won’t be allowed to release here, due to the current political issues. Due to the same reason Fawad Khan has also been exempted from the promotions of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Last year, the Shiv Sena had forced Ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali’s concert to be cancelled when the ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) were at its peak. A large number of Pakistani actors and artists have big projects in hand, including Ali Zafar, Mahira Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Imran Abbas and Mawra Hocane. Meanwhile, according to latest reports, Mumbai police has ensured protection to Pakistani nationals in the country.
