Story: Gautham (Mahesh Babu) survives from a serious murder attempt in the childhood. Gautham turns as a Rockstar as he grows up. Gautham suffers from integrated disorder where he can’t differenciate between realism and dream. In the meanwhile, Sameera (Kriti Sanon) follow him and finds the hallucination problem. To stay away from the media Gautham leaves to Goa, but Sameera follows to test him according to psychologist Surya. But continuous murder attempts on both Gautham and Sameera makes him realize the fact that goons are not following him but Sameera. How will Gautham get over his flashy flash backs? Will Gautham continue saving Sameera from the goons in goa forms the rest of the storyline.

Thriller is always an interesting back drop to have for murder mystery movie and Sukumar has presented the setting well. As the first half beings with the story the “Realism & Dream” the mood is exquisitely set. Then begins the chase to find the reality which is not that great but you still feel it okay, the proceedings movie at a smooth pace and as the interval arrives the feeling is about not thrilling but still fair watch. Second half is when things start taking some turns. Climax enigma is where Sukumar loses the game.

The story line is very thin. The director has been able to bring in an emotional confrontation into the story, which is fine. 1 Nenokkadine has very little to cheer about in terms of the story which looks like a hotchpotch of sequences. It seems to meander in the second half where the director fails to handle the emotional bond in the movie.

The director's shortcomings are evident in the way he handles the narrative. The point of convergence where the three tales finally meet is a terrible disappointment. There is a tiny twist here that would act as a spoiler if revealed, but it would suffice to say that it lets the air straight out of this inflated balloon and within seconds it
lands crumpled on the earth.

Amidst of huge expectations, Mahesh Babu’s 1 Nenokkadine is here. Director Sukumar known for different style of taking and presenting movies in a stylish way has teamed up with Prince of Tollywood. As expected movie is stylish in its presentation. Director Sukumar has done a neat job in 1 Nenokkadine, about feelings like suspicion, trust, love and pain. This is one of those flicks in which the director seems to have outsmarted himself. There are plot elements that simply don't get filled in, which seems to be the latest excuse for not knowing how to effectively wrap up a story without letting it become too contrived. Despite the lack of so-called commercial elements such as too much of silly comedy and forced tracks, Sukumar has been fails in narrating the film in an engaging manner.

After a solid and intriguing opening (about the first 15 minutes), 1 Nenokkadine deteriorates into a rather typical thriller. It leads you to believe you're in for something good -something a little different than your run of the mill Tollywood chase flick - it's a major disappointment. There's simply no suspense created and no surprise as
to how this movie ends.

Compared to the Second half of the film First half is very pleasing to watch. Many sequences in the first half are good and as a result, viewers a sort of relived half way through the movie. The second is boring where the story moves at a slower pace and the director has failed used sharp editing techniques to add to the thrilling feel.

Mahesh Babu has effortlessly carried his role and his fans will certainly enjoy his performance in the film. He is at ease in the dance and fight sequences. Kriti Sanon is apt for the role. Her mannerisms and expressions are of top class.

Another problem is the lack of chemistry between Mahesh Babu and Kriti Sanon. The scenes they shared - and there were plenty - should have been romatic, but they pretty much died in terms of chemistry. Sophie Choudry did an item song and she is good. Nassar did a negative role in this film. He did very well. Pradeep Rawat is good, as usual, as
the villain. Kelly, Anu Hassan etc did well in their cameos.

Cinematographer Rathnavelu shaky camera does its work perfectly well, and lends a realistic feel to the proceedings. The color and lighting effect he has achieved in the first fight sequence and Pre Interval band is praiseworthy. The film's sore point is its music. Devi Sri Prasad has delivered just two good songs. The other songs are ordinary. Even the Choreography is fine. Editing of the film could have been crispier, leaves a lot to be desired. Dialogues are nice, confusion and sentiment sprinkled into it. Production values are rich.
