Vakkantam Vamsi’s Bad Fight Proved Futile
on Aug 21, 2015
Writer Vakkantam Vamsi is the one who’s rumoured to be collecting more than 1 crore for his writing endorsements. For films like Oosaravelli, Kick, Race Gurram and Temper he’s heard charging that price. But today’s Kick 2 has some other things to prove.
Of late, Vamsi is heard getting into a fight with director Surender Reddy to give him full credits about the writing. Rather just taking credits for the story, he’s said to be asking for both story, dialogues and additional screenplay. Kick 2 is the film that saw him getting those credits. But this also proved how bad he’s writing is. With Surender Reddy showing no magic of his screenplay, the lapses and loop holes in story are clearly visible. There is neither logical connect, nor any emotional balance that could make audiences stick to seats.
Rather fighting for credits, Vamsi should have focused more on the story and basic plot. He has got his own ‘comfort’ but at the comfort of film’s story. That’s why, we have to say, his fight with Surender Reddy proved futile.
