The story tries to narrate an incident in the family of one Nicky (Rekha). It opens with silly comedy bits of two friends trying to make money by false means and then being beaten by others. This continues throughout and proves distraction. Then there is another kind of farce showing a couple of girls fooling men by making them work for them tempting them a bit omantically. Nicky, the title role is the eldest aughter of a usinessman (Vijag Prasad). Vamsi (Vamsi) says first that he loves her and then says she is just a friend to him and then says again that he does not bother about her at all. All this talk is because she bangs him for placing his hand on her. Suddenly Nicky disappears and is suspected to be murdered. Surya playing the role of CID office with the same name enters the scene and starts investigating. Kallu Chidambaram gives clues. We watch inter-cut scenes of somebody digging the ground and burying a body. A lady journalist's character is also there to just bang the police officer for not able to discover the culpriturderer. Vmsi's family members plead his innocence and request Surya to release him. Then Surya captures one Vasu, son of a politician, busy with a woman in a guest house. Then the women says she was with one Agarwal the previous night. Agarwal is brought in drunken mood. He reveals her name as Vijju. Then Surya learned from another informer, that a motorbike and then a Maruti car hit Nicky. The successive hits killed her. Then suddenly another woman says her name is Vijju, younger sister of Nicky. Her father (Vijag Prasad) hates Vijju because an astrologer said that she causes his death. It is then revealed that Vijju loved a person first, whom Nicky is engaged to marry. On that engagement night Vijju allows her sick father die, by keeping away his medicine. He dies of heart stroke. Then she killed her elder sister out of jealousy. The last word of the film is that fathers should not give credence to predictions by astrologers that make them blind.

The entire star cast is full of new faces, except a few character roles. No character is capable of sustaining the drama. The taking of scenes is crude. Musical support is adequate. You find artistes just running around sans making any sense. Surya is the only artiste who makes some difference by breaking monotony. Rafi sings well but his tunes are quite simple. The voice has a special appeal.
