Analysis :

Venky Kudumula didn’t pick a unique subject, but tried to engage audience with his smart and hilarious writing. The film’s story deals with problem of an area called Tirupuram which is located at Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu border. The villagers have restriction of one group should not cross fence constructed in the middle. However, both the groups have good respect for their Zamindar who’s everything for them. Panchayat episode describes complete scenario in the village. On the other hand, Naga Shaurya takes pleasure in fights since he is a kid. The childhood episodes are funny and believable. Then, Shaurya is sent to Tirupuram. The entry episode of Tamils attacking Shaurya was hilarious. There is continuous entertainment till interval, ever since Shaurya joins the college. The romantic track was neither great, nor inadequate. Interval bang of Shaurya blocked in Tamil head’s house is amusing. Unfortunately, there’s no pace in second half with episodes of Shaurya trying to know flashback of why enmity between two groups. Vennela Kishore’s episodes give some relief. At last, movie ends on happy note.

Artists Performances:

Naga Shaurya looked handsome as usual and he played the role of Hari proficiently. He was equally good in romantic scenes and comedy episodes. Rashmika Mandanna is not a charming beauty, although she has given decent performance. In fact, she looked better without spectacles. Naresh was good as Naga Shaurya’s father. Raghu Babu was funny. The college batch of Viva Harsha, Satya, Sudharshan provided some laughs. Vennela Kishore also evoked comedy. Other artists were cool.

Technical Aspect:
Venky Kudumula has good sense of humor. He penned first half of the film hilariously. There’s non-stop comedy in the first half. However, he failed to create the same magic in second half which was routine and boring at places. Pre-climax and climax episodes were also regular. Sai Sriram’s cinematography is colorful and Mahati Swara Sagar provided melodious tunes. Sagar’s re-recording work is also top-class. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao’s editing work is mediocre. Production values of Ira Creations are good.

Chalo has numerous entertaining elements in first half, whereas movie turns slow in second half. Youth may like the film.
