Sapthagiri Makers Incur 6 Cr Losses

Comedian Sapthagiri turned hero with Sapthagiri which released this Friday to lukewarm response. AS we reported earlier, producers spent huge budget of Rs 4 crores only to make this movie. When no distributor dared to invest big amounts quoted by producer Dr Ravi Kirane, he released the movie on own which cost him another Rs 2 crores. Overall, the producer invested Rs 6 crores on the film.
As per trade analysts, the movie is in deficits from very first day and producer Ravi Kirane would lose all the money he spent on the project. Lack of entertainment, poor promotions, heavy budget on a weak story are said to be reasons for the film to bomb at box office.
It is heard that, few distributors were ready to release the film on share basis, but Ravi Kirane who had high hopes on his project refused them. Now, he is set to incur heavy losses.
