Story :

It all begins with Suman and his Family in a beautiful house in Vishakapatnam. Suman forays the role of a socially responsible person and the same character is acquired by his son. Their lives are peaceful until Jagapathi Babu comes to Vizag with his father on a matrimonial mood. However, Suman and Jagapathi Babu end up clashing there for the wrong reason. Following this, the revenge begins. Suhasini is killed by JB's father and the rebel character of her young son (Balakrishna) is revealed there. In the meanwhile, there is a suspense that gets built and movie moves on to the next level. Suman is killed by Jagapathi Babu as well. The twist to the story comes towards the interval since that is when we realize that Balakrishna is playing a dual role. How Balakirshna protects the family from the villain and how things take on from there is the rest of the story.

Balakrishna :

One will get to see a different person in Balakrishna this time. He acted in perfection and the dialogue deliveries were extraordinary. Balakrishna managed to handle action sequences with ease. His dance is to the peaks. No one would imagine that Balakrishna could dance so well that too at this age. Both the roles of Balakrishna were just perfect. In fact, his political dialogues sounded like a hint about his entry into Politics.

Jagapathi Babu :

No one would have ever seen such an intensive Jagapathi Babu on screen. He lived his role. His eyes conveyed all that he had to say. Some even got scared of his villainous character in the movie. The red eyed man did a brilliant role both in action sequences and dialogue deliveries. Jagapathi Babu will be critically acclaimed for this role.

Radhika Apte :

She is seen for a short period but Radhika's role is pretty significant. Radhika's sentimental dialogues at a crucial point made her presence even stronger.

Sonal Chauhan :

She was like the typical 'Bombay Heroine' in the movie. She was there only to beautify the sets. Nothing great was extracted from this lady. Songs were the only place she had to work and spend some energy seems. However, she did create a buzz with her glamor. Her entry scene in a bikini makes it steamy hot.

Boyapati Srinu :

His trademark punch dialogues were all there in the movie. Boyapati Srinu caught the pulse of Balakrishna fans. Action, romance, sentiment, drama and comedy was equally balanced in the film. Boyapati Srinu did a perfect job in directing a mass masala entertainer.

Cinematography and other Technical Aspects :

The locations were shown in a neat manner. The art director and cinematographer needs to be appreciated for shooting some critical scenes without any flaw.

Music :

Devi Sri Prasad did score some quality numbers for this movie. Songs were all nice on an average. The highlight was the background score throughout the movie. That was an added royalty to the movie.

Highlights :

The car chase in the desert
Scenes involving the Legend Bike
Horse Riding Scene of Balakrishna
Jagapathi Babu and Balakrishna's climax fight
Balakrishna's punch dialogues
Bramhanandam's comedy

Flaws :

Very Slow Second Half
No great importance given to heroines.

Final Verdict :

Legend is a great film for all Balakrishna fans and is good for a one time watch for the rest of them. The film will reach the mass crowd and every masala aspect is completely fulfilled. Overall, the movie is a hit.

Rating :
3.5/5
