Ram Charan Teja is a Telugu movies actor hailing from a family that on top of the Telugu cinema industry. He is the only son of actor Chiranjeevi and grandson of yesteryear Telugu movie comedian Dr. Allu Rama Lingiah. Ram Charan is also the nephew of Pawan Kalyan, Naga Babu and cousin to his contemporary actor Allu Arjun. 

Ram Charan made his debut in Telugu film industry in 2007 with the movie Chirutha. The movie was directed by Puri Jagannth and produced by Ashwini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies banner. Neha Sharma, who played female lead, also made her Telugu cinema debut.

Ram Charan bagged quite a few awards for his debut movie Chirutha. In fact, he received Film fare Award for Best Male Debut (South). He also received Nandi Award (Special Jury) and CineMaa Award for Best Male Debut Award. 

Year 2009 was truly historic for Ram Charan as he acted in a film Magadheera , directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by his uncle Allu Aravind under Geetha Arts banner. The movie went on to become the highest revenue grosser in Telugu cinema history. Kajal Agarwal has played female lead in Magadheera. 

It was raining awards for Ram Charan for his performance in Magadheera as he received Film Fare Award for Best Actor (Male), Nandi Award (Special Jury), Santosham Award and CineMaa Award for Best Actor (Male).

Nicknamed Mega power Star, Ram Charan became a sensation across South India for this success and awards. 

Ram Charan’s next movie is Orange (2010), directed by Bommarillu fame Bhaskar and produced by Naga Babu under Anjana Productions. Genelia is the heroine in this movie, which released with gigantic expectations, but did not do well at the box office.

Ram Charan is currently shooting for Merupu, directed by Tamil director Dharani.
