| Self-assessment tool for High School students |
City-based Learnsmart India Private Limited on 04 July, 07, Wednesday announced the launch of www.24x7guru.com, an online diagnostic, self-assessment tool for students from Class III to X. For a few rupees a day, school children can know their academic skill levels, know where they went wrong and rectify themselves. |
CEO Learnsmart K.S. Muralidhar said the portal complemented the efforts of teachers in schools and put students in a confident frame of mind. Giving details, he said, for a cost ranging from Rs. 3.50 to Rs. 6 per day for different classes, students could take a maximum of 45 tests over the duration of a year’s subscription. The website is a joint effort of BodhTree Consulting and Unified Council Initiative, that conducts the National-level Science Talent Search Exam. |
The knowledge-driven portal would continuously track the students' performance with each passing test, said Sanjiv Gupta, CEO BodhTree. Thus, in the most formative years, the website and testing tool would help students know and improve their performance levels, he said. |

Initially, only the Central Board of Secondary Education syllabus was covered in the portal's data bank. Other systems like Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), State syllabus and even the International Baccalaureate would soon be included, Mr. Gupta said.
