South Indian Kadi(Majjiga pulusu)



Kadi is the a north indian version of Majjiga pulls and it has different recipes from different areas,like Punjabi kadi ,Gujarati kadi ,Rajasthani kadi etc...Each have different ingredients buttermilk being the base of all. So today lets see the South Indian version of this

Ingredients:


1 Big cup -Butter Milk (not too sour)

* 1 Spn Gram Flour (Chenna ki aata)

* 1 spn Coriander seeds

* 2 spns Grated coconut

* 1 spn turmeric

* 1 inch Ginger

* 4 Green chillies

For Tadka :


* 1/2 spn (Rai) Mustard seeds

* 1/2 Spn Zeera

* Pinch of Hing

* Salt to taste

* Vegetables : Bottle guard (semi cooked),Ladies finger (semi fried),Tomatoes (raw sliced).

* Garnishing with Coriander leaves

Method:

* Churn the curd into semi thick butter milk(it should not be too thin)

* Put all the other ingredients except tadka and vegetables  into a mixi jar and bring into a paste.

* Now add that paste to butter milk and churn it feel. Now put this mixture on stove and let it come to boil .

* Now add Vegetables and allow to cook for some time

* Lastly take a small tadka pan, put a little oil in it and add rai,zeera and hing. and add tadka to the boiling Kadi (Majjiga pulusu)

* Sort the stove, Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with Hot white rice.
