Double Ka meetha

 

 

Ingredients:

Bread loaf medium size - 1 uncut

khoya – 1 cup

Sugar -1 cup

water - 1/2 glass

Milk - 1litre

Dry fruits sliced - (kaju, kismis, badam, karboja seeds)

Refined - 2 tsp

oil - for frying bread

Ghee - 3 tsp for frying dry fruits

cardamom - 2

 

Procedure:

Cut bread into cubes and fry them in refined oil, Drain on using a tissue paper and place on a tray - like vessel and keep aside. Take half a glass of water in a bowl, boil it, add sugar and keep stirring till it becomes thick syrup. Add cardamom to this mixture and pour this syrup over bread slices. Fry all the dry fruits in ghee and keep them aside.

Now Boil the milk in a container, then add Khoyaa to this mixture and stir well till khoyaa completely dissolves in the milk and forms a thick paste. Add a pinch of saffron and add the mixture directly to the bread and mix well. Let the mixture soak with bread for 30 min max. Once it is soaked well, keep this in a refrigerator and serve it chilled as a dessert.

 

Rabdi Sweet

 

 

Ingredients:

Milk-1 liter

Sugar -1/2 cup

cardamom - 2 green crushed

Few saffron strands, Few almonds, pistachios sliced

 

Method:

Take a heat a heavy bottom pan and boil milk in it. Stir it with a slotted spatula . Add crushed cardamom in this mixture. Cook it slowly with frequent stirring till it becomes a thick paste.

Now add saffron milk and pistachios. Add sugar in it and mix well. Cook again for 5 minutes more. Shift this mixture in to a glass bowl and add saffron strands in 2 tablespoon.Tastes good when served chilled.
