Telugu Association of Greater Delaware Valley (TAGDV) celebrated 2008
Deepavali on Nov 01 2008 at Penn Brook Middle School, North Wales, PA,
USA. The function was well organized by Executive committee and had great
response from Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey and other neighboring
states in USA. The function was kicked off with an introduction by Vice
President Mrs. Sailaja A. Eluri and a welcome note by President Mrs.
Saroja Sagaram. The cultural program organized and executed by Mrs.
Sailaja along with master of ceremonies Megana Reddy, Chitra Mosarla,
Suneetha Vegesna and Ravi Chitluru included ecstatic performance by local
participants in various areas like Classical dance, Movie dance and
singing. Participants were Siva Noothanapati, Sahiti Dhulipala, Aruna
Dhanisetty, Rittika Segireddy, Anvi Reddy,Vishruth Pallem, Pooja Chawla,
Aditya Gunturi, Shreya Koneru, Aanika Varma, Varalika Ananth, Krishna
Rani, Lalitha, Megana Reddy, Keerthana Setty and Jaisheela Setty, Akshaya
Bhamidipati, Aarti Bhamidipati, Alekhya Gunturi, Nithisha Eluri, Ravi
Mukkamala, Manasa Govindarajula, Meghana Chigurupati, Swathi Vipperla,
Bhavana Nagoti, Svetlana Smanthula, Bhavana Kusumba, Vivekananda Setty,
Saikrishna palepu, Chandra Sekhar Palepu, Brijay Varma, Prasad Ankineedu,
Nishant & Nitisha Eluri and Chitra Mosarla. Following right after local
talent was a sensational breath taking performance by Dr. Gazhal Srinivas
a Pioneer of Telugu Ghazals sponsored by TAGDV and Co-Sponsored by Dr.
Ramesh & Sailaja Eluri. With a brief introduction by Mr. Harinath
Doddapaneni past president of TAGDV, Dr. Ghazal Srinivas took center stage
and once again delivered an unforgettable performance which will go into
TAGDV history as one of the best ever. Through his speech and songs, he
took the fans through their early childhood memories and reminded the
importance of unbreakable bondage between Mother and Child and much more.
Dr. Ghazal Srinivas who had won several awards enthralled the audience
with his mellifluous voice and soulful rendering. Mr. Damu Gedala TFAS
president was recogniged by TAGDV Secretary Rajkumar K. The function
ended with vote of thanks from Secretary Rajkumar K and a non-stop
avocation for the maestro Dr Ghazal Srinivas. |
