Prof. Kodandaram Rejuvenate Telangana Spritis in Dallas Area

 

 

 

DATA (Dallas Area Telangana Association) organized a meet & greet with Prof.Kodandaram Chair, TJAC in Dallas/Ft Worth area on 8th March 2013 at Courses at Watters Creek Club House7201 Chase Oaks Blvd Plano with over 300 staunch supporters of Telangana attending the meeting. Meeting started with a welcome & outlining objective of the DATA by MC for the evening Mr. Mahesh Mereddy. Mahesh introduced the guest of honor Prof. Kondaram to the audience and then Prof. Kodandaram on to stage. As Prof. Kodandram started walking towards the Dias, the club house echoed with slogans “Jai Telangana Jai Telangana, Jai Jai Telangana”. Praveen Ekkati presented Prof.Kodandaram with Bouquet as the entire DATA team welcomed Professor on to the dais. Prof.Kondaram along with all the DATA members started the meeting with lighting of the lamp and followed by all attendees paying two minutes silence for the memory of all those who sacrificed their life’s for Telangana movement and as well as to the victims of the Dilsukhnagar terrorism bomb blast in Hyderabad. Later, Narsimha Mereddy welcomed Ram Mohan Tummuri with a Bouquet, a Head Master from Karimnagar district who was visiting Dallas. Ram Mohan Garu spoke about the prominence of Adilabad district and talked about his experience on Telangana movement, ended with singing a patriotic song on four Crore Telangana people struggle for a self rule & freedom.


 

As Prof.Kodandaram started speaking about the current situation on Telangana struggle, the entire attendees were on their toes once again echoing the slogans “Jai Telangana Jai Telangana Jai Jai Telangana”. Prof.Kondadaram explained to the audience that the main reason for the Telangana struggles is for self rule and equality for Telangana people, and he reiterated that the history speaks the same thing with all freedom struggles across the globe. Prof. Kodandaram went on to say that almost two times, Telangana was pronounced and declared as separate state by the central government but for the self-interest of samaikyhandhra so called “lobbyist” the Telangana state was not fulfilled as promised by Central UPA government. Prof.Kodandaram called on all the people of Telangana across the globe to come together at this juncture and strengthen the movement for Telangana self-rule. Kodandaram also reiterated that in the history of world, there is no freedom struggle where as many as thousand people self-immortalized for the Telangana cause but the media never covered at the same interest and level as in Vietnam and Tibet freedom movement and requested all the Telangana NRIs to bring it to the attention of UN Human Rights Commission about Telangana movement & people sacrifices. He reiterated that Telangan movement will again be in full strength with “Sadak Bandh” followed by various intensive activities to fulfill long standing dream of Telangana state. Prof Kodandaram ended with thanking the volunteers of DATA for organizing such a successful event and requested all the Telangana NRIs to spread the movement in their villages, towns and cities across Telangana.



After the Question & Answer session with Prof. Kondandram, Mahendar Ganapuram invited and introduced the DATA Team Members including Anil Boddu, Bhasker Garlapati, Deepak Gantla, Harish Mandadi, Kiran K Chelamalla, Mahendar Ganapuram, Mahesh Mereddy, Manohar Jangeti, Narsimha Mereddy, Parikshit Velama, Raghuveer Maripeddi, Rajesh Pillamari, Ram Kasarla, Shekar Brahmmadevara, Srinivas Reddy (Bike), Srinath Sadam, Srinivas Dendi, Srinivas Damera, Srinivas Thipanna, Sudhir Guda , Suresh Gottimukula, Venkateshwar Reddy Seri, Venu Annapureddy, Sridhar Devulapally to facilitate Prof. Kodandaram. Mahendar also appreciated and thanked the support of other prominent Dallas Area Telanganites who attended the meet. At the conclusion of the event, Srinivas Thippana announced to the participants about upcoming major DATA events including Holi & Vanabhojanalu on March 10th and Bathukamma & Dasara Samburalu in October. Srinivas ended the event with the Vote of Thanks, thanking the participants, Telangana supporters, volunteers and MediaPartners Yuva Media, TV9, TV5, DP TV, DesiPlaza.us, V6 News, T News, ABN for making the event a grand success. Ruchi Palace Indian restaurant served the delicious and authentic Telangana flavored dinner for the evening.
