Will Resume Strike: Ashok Babu

APNGOs’ president Ashok babu said they will resume the strike, from the day Telangana Bill comes to state Assembly. He accompanied by some of his unions’ leaders met leaders of National parties for convincing them not to support the T-Bill in Parliament.

While, returning to Hyderabad, speaking to media at New Delhi “We have met leaders of BJP, JDU, CPI, SP and JDS and explained how the Centre is going ahead with its bifurcation process against constitution and the wishes majority of the people. Many of them have agreed with our arguments and assured us to stop the bill in Parliament if it is unconstitutional and unjustified. It is highly impossible to approve the T-Bill in Parliament without amending or removing Article 371 (D) in the constitution, for which 2/3 majority of Parliament consent is necessary,” said Ashok babu.

He said “We once again appeal to our Union Ministers and MPs to quit their posts and not to preach the people that division of the state is certain. We will hold a meeting on 24th of this month at Hyderabad and decide our future course of action. But, one thing is sure that the day the T-Bill reaches the state Assembly, we resume our strike.”
