Why, Centre wants to present T-Bill in Rajya Sabha first

TRS leader Vinod is suspects that Congress high command is not honest in passing the T-Bill, as it is presenting the bill in Rajya Sabha first as against the tradition of submitting in Lok Sabha first. Submitting the bill in Rajya Sabha first is underlining its inability to pass the bill in Lok Sabha. Congress high command might have thought that while Rajya Sabha is debating on the bill, it can pass rest of the bills in Lok Sabha. In case if it presents the bill to Lok Sabha first and the house comes to standstill with the protests by members of different parties from AP, then it couldn’t pass crucial bills on vote-on-account.

Moreover, if presents the bill in Rajya Sabha first, it can corner BJP with it. BJP has to adopt the same stand in Lok Sabha also that it has taken in Rajya Sabha on the T-Bill. If, it supports the T-Bill, it is well and good for Congress, otherwise it can escape unhurt from this whole issue blaming BJP for not supporting the bill. It provides Congress party another escape route also. By presenting the bill in Rajya Sabha first, it can keep the bill alive. Although, Lok Sabha present term completes with the current sessions, Rajya Sabha term will never end because only a part of its members retires after every four years. So, it can tell the people that still it kept the T-Bill alive in Rajya Sabha and so, if they elect to power, it can complete the process and grant Telangana state immediately after taking charge of the government.
