Was Jagan’s ‘Z’ category security really withdrawn?

YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy has filed a petition in High Court challenging AP government’s decision of scaling down his security. He was provided ‘Z’ category security cover since last three years. However, ruling TDP government has replaced it with simple security cover from September 13, argues Jagan’s counsel DV Sita Rama Murthy in the High Court.

He argues that government’s decision is political motivated and appealed the court to pass interim orders for restoring ‘Z’ category security cover to his client. But, P Venu Gopal the AP Advocate General rubbished Jagan’s counsel’s arguments. He argued that state government has never withdrawn the ‘Z’ category security cover to Jagan Mohan Reddy and it is still intact. The court adjourned Jagan’s petition to two weeks.

Hence, Jagan Mohan Reddy and state government have to submit evidences in support of their arguments. Since, both their arguments are quite against, it is understood either of them are lying. State government can furnish the official records pertaining to his ‘Z’ category security cover. So, Jagan has to come-up with concrete evidences to prove that state government is guilty, otherwise his petition may back fires upon him.
