The venue makes a big difference

In quite coincidence presidents’ of two main opposition parties in the state Chandrababu Naidu and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy have sat for indefinite hunger strike with a gap of two days and ended it with same interval after five days.

However, the impact of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s hunger strike is very minimal and it even doesn’t solve the main purpose of boosting the spirits of his party in the region. The reason is choosing wrong venue for his hunger strike. Normally, political parties choose Indira Park for conducting such programs, which is ideal for getting full focus of the media and people. But, Jagan has preferred a much comfortable place near his Lotus Pond residence, probably due to security reasons or some other reasons. Hence, his hunger strike draws poor response from media and public.

Although, Chandrababu couldn’t get permission to conduct his hunger strike at Jantar Mantar area in New Delhi, which is earmarked for conducting such programs, still the National media and National party leaders have a good access of his venue at AP Bhavan. He utilized this opportunity to bring to their notice about how the Congress party is playing foul game with Telugu people. He is quite successful in highlighting the two month long Seemandhra people and APNGOs agitations for Samaikyandhra, which until then being ignored by the national media.

Hence, it is understood that choosing a right venue is also very important factor for success of such programs.
