T-Government jumps for damage control on Metro Rail

Soon after news broke out about L&T Company’s letter to Telangana government proposing to quit Hyderabad Metro Rail Project stating it is not viable anyway after bifurcation of the state, Telangana government quickly jumps to control the damage occurred with media reports. KTR has condemned the reports and suspects some conspiracy behind them.

Telangana state Principal Secretary Rajiv Sharma has summoned Metro Rail Project MD VNS Reddy and discussed about this matter. Later, Mr. Reddy also rubbished the reports. Then, L&T Company’s MD and CEO VB Gadgil came to media to condemn the media reports. He said that his company will complete the project in-time with the co-operation of the state government. He said that hurdles in such big project are quite common and they can be cleared through negotiations. He asserted that his company wrote letters, but it is necessary to communicate with the state government to make progress in the project. He also condemned the reports as baseless and untrue.
