Illegal Mining: Naidu Alleges Jagan Involvement

TDP chief and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the arrest of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy on illegal mining charges by the CBI. The TDP chief said that YSR Congress president and Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had a role in the illegal mining activities of Gali brothers.

Speaking to media persons in this afternoon, Naidu said that Janardhan Reddy resorted to illegal mining at his will and pleasure despite the reprimand by the Karnataka Lok Ayukta and Supreme Court. "It all happened only because the Centre was silent on the strictures passed by the Supreme Court against illegal mining," he added.

Chandrababu Naidu also alleged that Jagan had earned huge illegal wealth using his father's position as the chief minister. "TDP waged a battle against illegal mining and the illegal miners must be punished," demanded Mr. Naidu.
