KCR Warning to Cops: Beware of Witch-hunt

Reacting sharply to the arrest of Employees T-JAC convenor Swamy Goud, TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao warned the cops to beware of their possible 'witch-hunt', when a separate Telangana state is formed. He cautioned the state government not to adopt repressive methods to curb the 'Sakala Janula Samme'.

Addressing the media at TNGO Bhavan after a meeting convened to discuss the arrest and release of TJAC convenor Swami Goud, the TRS chief asked police personnel to think twice before proceeding against any of the agitators as they would have no choice but to serve the Telangana people when the new state comes into existence. "If you do not follow rules, our future generation will ensure that you pay for your misdeeds under the Seemandhra rulers. Henceforth, think twice before swooping down on the Telangana Joint Action Committee leaders," he asserted. He demanded an unconditional apology from the state government and DGP for arresting Goud without any provocation.
