Prasada rao is full-time DGP now

Prasada rao, who was appointed as the in-charge DGP on 30th September, was given full charge as DGP of the police on Thursday, after the panel comprising state principle secretary, UPSC representative and secretary of Union Home Ministry gave its nod for the three names (Prasada rao, TP Das, Aruna Bahuguna) recommended by state government.

Hence, the state government opts for Prasada rao and issues orders appointing him as DGP of the Police yesterday. He assumed his duties in DGP level at Police headquarters at Hyderabad on Thursday evening. He will retire from his post in September 2015.

Recently, former DGP Dinesh Reddy has once again knocked the Tribunal doors challenging Prasada rao’s appointment as in-charge DGP. But as if there is no end for his bitter experiences, Prasada rao now become full time DGP with the consent of Union Home Ministry.
