DNA test results have revealed that senior Congress leader ND Tiwari is the biological father of 32-year-old Rohit Shekhar. The Delhi High Court on Friday gave the details of Tiwari's DNA test, which was carried out after Shekhar moved the court claiming that the Congress leader was his father.
While revealing the details of the DNA test, the court said, "ND Tiwari and Ujjwala Sharma are the biological father and mother of Rohit Shekhar." Tiwari can now challenge the findings of the report in the Supreme Court.
Ujjwala Sharma, who is Shekhar's mother, called it a victory of the truth. "It is the victory of the truth. It is not my personal victory. "We don't expect anything from him (ND Tiwari). We are in the shelter of the court. Whatever the court decides, we will abide by it."
"I am neither happy nor sad. I will take every lawful right I have been given under law. I am not an illegitimate child. I have the right to use his (Tiwari) surname," said Shekhar.
