Controversy around Nasik temple

After Shani Shinganapur, the women activists now seem to have targeted the prestigious Nasik Trayambak temple. Tripti Desai, leader of the Bhumata Brigade which is fighting for the entry of women into Shani temple has now issued a warning to the authorities of Nasik temple. A letter to this effect was written to the temple to clarify their stance on allowing women into sanctum sanctorum of the temple. The Bhumata Brigade has earlier created a sensation by trying to step on the platform of Shani Shinganapur deity. Though the attempt was foiled by the local police along with the volunteers of various Hindu organizations, their act has started a fresh debate in the country. Tripti Desai has even met the Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and appealed him to support their cause. They requested the CM to issue orders for allowing women in every temple across the state without any discrimination.
