My Properties goes to People: Jayalalitha

There are reports in Tamil media about former Tamilnadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha’s statement said to be made in the special court after hearing the verdict. According to reports, she is said to be stated “I have earned plenty of money through my film profession. People are also aware that I am rich even before entering state politics. I don’t have my own family. So, there is no meaning in opposition parties’ allegations of acquiring properties for myself. Whatever, I have now will goes to people only, because I believe they are my family members. Those fail to face me in peoples’ court are levying such false allegations. But, my people know that I am honest.”

If, her statement is to be believed true, then she would have proved her honesty in the court instead of prolonging her case for 18 long years. If she could submit strong proofs for her properties worth Rs.63 crores, she would have prevented this miserable situation. But, she let the case prolong for 18 years only because she has no answer to the court questions on her disproportionate assets case. So is the special court believed that she is guilty and convicted with 4 years jail term and levied Rs.100 crores fine on her. If she believes that she is really honest, no one will stop her from challenging the special court’s verdict in higher courts. If, she could come clean in the higher courts people of the state also will take her for a ride on chariot.
