AP government, which plans to revamp all temple committees in the state to uphold the holiness of the temples, has abolished them few days ago. Now, it is going to form a new TTD Board with 18 members in place of 11 earlier. Out of the 18 half of will be from Andhra Pradesh, seven from other states and remaining two will be ex-officio members. Out of the seven other state members, two may be from Tamilnadu and Karnataka states and rest may from Telangana. Out of these five members TDP government may accommodate at least three to four members from its Telangana wing and one from Telangana government.
The amended bill has been forwarded to Governor Narasimhan for approval. Once, it is approved government may finalize the names of the members for the new board. There is very heavy competition for the board members’ and Chairman Posts from within party, government and outside. However, there is possibility of problems on the holy hill multiplied as more politicians find their way into TTD Board.
