Konda Murali, who got elected to the council on behalf of Congress party is alleged to have been indulging anti-party activities.

The state Congress party had earlier complained to the chairman that two of its members Konda Murali and Ms. Pulla Padmavathi are acting against the interests of the party. The chairman conducted an enquiry into the matter and decided to disqualify Konda Murali from the membership. Pulla Padmavathi expressed her desire to remain in the party and Congress too didn't insist on her disqualification.
