Is Congress going to split due to bifurcation decision

Routhu Suryaprakash Rao, the Congress MLA from Rajahmundry has told the media that a political party intended to continue the Samaikyandhra agitations is likely to be floated soon, probably after end of current parliament sessions. He said it will be given name as Samaikya Indira Congress. He said the name will be given so, because late Indira Gandhi has kept the state intact despite facing immense pressures for Telangana state.

He speculates there will be drastic change in political equations in the state, after launching of the party. He said the party will lead by a new leader. He is indicating that the Seemandhra Congress leaders have not completely given up their efforts to stop bifurcation of the state, but are doing some spadework to counter it. If, he is to be believed, he might be telling us that Seemandhra leaders of the Congress party are going to part ways with Congress and continue their agitations under this new banner.

The timing for launching of this political party, (that is at the end of the parliament sessions) may be just to enable all the Seemandhra leaders to make-up their mind, whether they would like to join the people in their battle against bifurcation or will abide by party decision.

But, the question is can the Seemandhra leaders, who are dancing to the tunes of party high command, dare to take such a bold step at all? Even if they did so, are they will be able to halt the bifurcation process at all, while it can be completed without their consent.
