Indian Spinner Harbhajan Singh and his actress wife Geeta Basra had a baby girl on Wednesday. Harbhajan Singh's mother Avtar Kaur confirmed the news to an online portal and said she was not able to fly to London to for the delivery of the baby as she could not manage to get a Visa. She also said that she congratulated her son and daughter-in-law over the phone. Harbhajan flew to London few weeks earlier and was by Geeta's side during the time of delivery. After dating for a six years the couple got married in October 2015. Geeta had moved to London to be live with her parents during her pregnancy. Harbhajan earlier made a comment on spending time with his wife during pregnancy which kind of created a controversy.
He said, "Earlier, Bhajji had shared his experience of dealing with a pregnant Geeta. Tongue firmly in cheek, the cricketer said, "Pregnant or otherwise, it's not easy to stay with a woman (laughs). I try to be understanding, and I help her be comfortable. One must try to understand her situation and be as supportiveas possible. That's what I do."
