British music album insults India

- Indian kids have nothing to do except playing holi for 365 days a year.

- Our streets are filled with the Sadhus who play cheap tricks to get your attention.

- The heroines of Bollywood wear really gaudy ornaments.

- India is filled with just slums and temples.

You may not agree with the above statements, but this is how India seems to be depicted in a music Album. `Hymn for the Weekend’ is the latest music album by a British band called `Cold Play’. Though the album has foot tapping beat and not so bad lyrics, it certainly illustrates India that’s in the mind of an ordinary westerner. The album has certainly hit the top of the music charts, but it has gathered an equal amount of criticism. People were blaming that the album is certainly biased and wish to feed on the poverty of India. The social media was flooded with tweets and posts blaming the credibility of the album. But the Coldaplay band has never offered an apology for the issue. Well! we may never get it… as always!!!
