BJP MP Subramanian Swamy who has been making sensational statements about various people has been silenced by the BJP top members. Two functions where he was to speak were cancelled by the party. A day ago, PM Modi has just said that Swamy's comments, on Raghuram Rajan, Arvind Subramanian and also Arun Jaitley were inappropriate.
He also added that any one who thinks he is bigger than the system is wrong. And that they should not be looking to gain publicity from it. It is being reported that one function was scheduled for Sunday in Mumbai and another organised by RSS in Chennai this week. But both have been called off, as the party was unable to tell Swamy not to attend the programmes or stop attacking the government and its ministers.
