Birlas named in CBI charge sheet

The Supreme Court’s efforts to put the CBI away from ruling governments is unearthing multi crore scams, in which both top bureaucrats of the government and the businessmen involved in foul games.

Following the apex court orders, CBI has further thrushes deep into coal mine scams and files charge sheets against industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla and former Coal Secretary P C Parekh on charges for their alleged involvement in conspiracy and corruption in connection with allocation of two coal blocks in Talabira, Odisha eight years ago.

CBI has summoned Kumar Mangalam Birla, the head of the Aditya Birla group for questioning on this multi crores scam. CBI sleuths have simultaneously conducted raids on the offices of Birla Group of Companies located at Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Delhi and Mumbai.
