Arvind Kejriwal expels Food Minister

 

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today expels Asim Ahmed Khan, minister for Food and Civil Supply, Environment and Forest and Election departments for indulging in corrupt practices. Kejriwal replaces him with Imran Hussain. Interestingly, Arvind Kejriwal summoned a press meet to announce this decision.

 

Speaking to media, “I expelled Asim Ahmed Khan from my cabinet after finding that he is demanding bribe from a builder. I have taken action against him even before media reports about it. We come to power promising the people to eliminate corruption from government. Hence, I won’t spare any one either he may be my deputy minister or anyone. Our motto is not to enjoy power and earn money, but service to people and eliminating corruption. I believe that we have to abide by our promise made to the people. So, I took quick action against our minister,” said Arvind Kejriwal.
