ACB Raids on Excise Officials

The Ant-corruption Bureau (ACB) is conducting raids on the houses of the top officials of Excise department. The raids are simultaneously going on in Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal and Hyderabad cities.

In khammam four top officials Dy. Superintendent Madhusudan Rao, Asst. Commissioner Narasimha Rao, Excise Inspector Shankaraiah and another official are taken into custody and are being interrogated. The ACB is very discreet about the raids and no details are being released to the press.

In Vijayawada, 11 teams have been formed to carry on the raids. According to sources, the main target of ACB in Vijayawada is Asst. Commmisioner Bhaskara Rao, who has been recently transfered to Hyderabad. It is said the ACB has discovered that Bhaskar Rao is a 25% shareholder in 13 shops of Umamaheswara Rao syndicate in Vijayawada.
