AP Assembly Budget Session: Live Updates - 13 February 2012

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly Budget Session started today on 13 February, 2012. The Governor Mr. ESL Narasimham addressed both the Houses amidst protests by the opposition parties. In his speech, the Governor gave importance to the welfare schemes 1 Rupee kg rice, interest free loans, Indiara Jalaprabha, Indirakranthi Padhakam, Rajeev Yuvakiranalu, Ration Cards and Pension schemes started by the chief minister Kiran Kuamar Reddy. The Governor reiterated that the Kiran Kumar government is committed to the welfare of the people of the state.
Both the TRS and Telugu Desam parties boycotted the Governor's speech. While TRS demanded for a T-reslution to be passed in the Budget session, the TDP demanded the ruling party to announce its clear stand on the contentious Telangana issue.
