High Court helpless in disqualifying defectors

TDP and Congress parties are making unsuccessful efforts to see their MLAs disqualified, who left the party and are currently serving the TRS government. They have appealed Telangana Assembly Speaker Madhusudhanachary but he ignores their pleas. They made appeals to Governor for the same but he also ignores their pleas. Finally, they approach the high court but there also got disappointment.

The high court delivering its verdict today stated that it can’t interfere into a matter that is in Speaker’s hands. But, the high court has suggested that Speaker should take immediate action against the defector MLAs to uphold the democratic values. Ravula Chandrashekhar Reddy, a member of the TDP Polit Bureau responding on the high court verdict said, TRS government shouldn’t think it as a relief but should consider its suggestion for action against the defector MLAs. We will go to Supreme Court if the TRS government fails to take action soon.”
