Why Dil Raju Didn't Request KCR?

on Aug 9, 2017

Telangana Government had granted tax exemption for Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna's magnum opus Gautamiputra Satakarni and Gunasekhar's Rudhramadevi that starred Anushka in title role. In fact, filmmakers of both the movies had approached Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who agreed for tax exemption since both the films are original stories of Telugu legends. And Rudhramadevi is popular queen from Telangana land.

Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi starrer Fidaa which is directed by Sekhar Kammula and produced by Dil Raju is turning out to be massive blockbuster at box office. The film supports Telangana slang, since most of the actors are seen mouthing dialogues in Telangana dialect.

Actually, Dil Raju screened a special show for KCR who appreciated the film as well as its cast and crew. What's more, major portion of the film was shot in Banswada, a Town in Kamareddy district.

Dil Raju didn't even consider to request KCR over tax exemption for his film Fidaa. Apparently, he is very much pleased with the box office collections. But, if Fidaa was exempted from tax, many filmmakers from the region would dare to make films and also promote tourism in the state.
