Is Chandra Babu Naidu still as popular with common man as he was before the elections?
The Siddipet constituency is regarded as the stronghold of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti’s supremeo K.Chandra Shekhar Rao, still in the recent by-polls the party’s influence could not work wonders for him. According political analysts, the major reason behind this loss in T.R.S.’s majority, which has reduced by 50%, is the effect of the Telugu Desam Party and its supremeo Chandra Babu Naidu. Most of the events organized by the T.D.P. in the recent times, have seen their ultimate success with huge numbers of people thronging the venues where he was present to address them.

It wasn’t Uma who hoisted the Tricolour Flag
Hubli, If Madhya Pradesh Chief Miniser Uma Bharati loses here job, blame it on the handiworks of a trigger-happy constable sauntering in Deshpande nagar 10 years ago. Some of the eye witnesses to the events of August 15,1994, recall a rather tense city since the BJP and its front organizations ere determined to hoist the flag in the disputed Idgah Maidan despite prohibitory orders. But the police were taking no chances that day. They had made elaborate arrangements including fencing. And all avenues to the Idgah Maidan were guarded to prevent Uma, then national president of the BJP Yuva Morcha, from reaching the site. Only a small group of activists, led by Prahlad Joshi, then convener of Rashtradhwaja Guarva Samrakshna Samiti (now Dharwad North MP), Suddenly descended on the site. And before the police realised it, they had squeezed through the barbed wire fence to hoist a small flag. The police chased away the group immediately and removed the flat. And before you knew it, the flat hoisting was over! But, another drama was unfolding in the posh Deshpande Nagar, half-a-kim way, Uma, who had secretly landed in Hubli despite a ban on her entry, was whisked away by police. There were heated arguments but the activists soon dispersed. That was the role Uma Bharati played that day. But that’s not the need of the story. Eye-witnesses say, a patrolling, rifle-wilding constable spotted a group of people standing in a lane. Since prohibitory orders were in force, he opened fire. One fell to the bullets. Soon, shots were heard in the neighbouring lanes and, four more were brought down. Police booked cases under various sections including attempt-murder and arson against 22, with Uma Bharati topping the list. It took the police over five months to file the charge sheet in the JMFC court. But nothing else moved. Finally, the S.M.Krishna government decided in 2002 to withdraw all these cases. In june this year, it filed a revision petition with the District and Sessions Court for withdrawal of the case against Uma. Why, then, the sudden change in the Government’s stand? Answers, anyone? Will peoples war group realise their dreams with outdated principles?
Do you feel that PWG needs to move around with arms, in this present scenario? “War” says it require arms to finish the Feudal system prevailing in the society. But these days you rarely find any traces of them atleast in Andhra Pradesh. So, is their justification true? Is this all for donations?? Today the major problems our society is facing is Un-employment and Corruption. Politicians and Governments Officers are minting money. Clerks working in Commercial department have properties worth 50 lakhs, this shows the level of corruption. Do you feel that with these kind of problems, on the rise PWG instead of fighting to solve it, are right in saying that they will provide a organized society with the help of arms. Charging donations forcefully from the rich people, moving with arms and in forests, bullying innocent people will give them the society they dream of? “War” fights for the betterment of the poor, dalits and the weaker section of the society, but PWG is led by people who belong to the forward communities. The people who die in police encounter are again from the weaker section. How for is this justified? Share your ideas… Express your views… Send your comments to us.

Does Secularism means Anti-Hindutva?
India has been the land of culture and tradition for thousands of year, for different religions, creed, etc,.Hinduism though always predominant never objected to any religion being practiced in India. But, these days as never heard before, India, is experiencing lot of inter Religion clashes. In fact, ordinary people, it is seen don't indulge in religion thoughts etc,. But why this feeling of communalism is going strong? "Because of some Political Parties, and news papers this problem is increasing. Secularism is the latest mantra being used by other parties to gain minority votes" says BJP. Defaming Hinduism will gain them more publicity, feels the B.J.P. and Shiv Sena. Why is it only Hindu bashing every where, why can't political parties, leaders and news papers writes about atrocities committed by other religions? Do you believe that Secularism has become the mantra to get votes for some political parties? OR Do you believe that Minorities live in fear in India?
