Hi All, I read the article and all the replies to this article. After that I realize that this website is completely biased to wards wealthy and developed Andhra people. I found some replies to the following replies but no one answered why Telanga people should live like a second grade people. We don’t have any big projects in our region. SLBC which started 25 years back it has not completed at least 50%. But the projects which start in Andhra region will finish with in 10 years. Did any guys including NCNAIDU know the fluoride problem of Nalgonda District? If the same problem exists in Andhra, will the government act like this? Why should all these people suffer with this entire problem even though they pay their taxes? We are Indians not outsiders. Can the author or any one answer my questions? What we asking is basic needs not luxuries. One person said RR district and Nalgonda also developed like anything, they should talk after knowing all the problems. If you don’t believe KCR how can you believe NCNAIDU. How enjoyed as minister in congress govt then joined TDP. Then ditched NTR. Just for the sake of power he did all the activities. Here the question is telangana development not KCR or NAIDU. If we get separate state we will get the share of our budget then we can have development. Now in the budget they are not spending even 10% towards telangana.

The struggle for a Telangana state is different from other similar demands in that Telangana was already a state between 1948 and 1956 before being merged with the coastal Andhra region to form Andhra Pradesh.Naidu is anything but the media-created image of a successful chief minister. Andhra Pradesh is a model state only upto the city limits of Hyderabad – beyond which darkness puts a cover on handloom-weaver and farmer suicides and the worst Naxalism of any state, save Bihar. Its urban poverty is as bad as Bihar’s rural poverty, and it contains more poor and very poor people in cities and town than the all-India average. It ranks 10th in the human- development index, ninth in the gender-development index, 12th in the gender- empowerment measure, and ninth in the human-poverty index – not far above the BIMARU states of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.

"Gentlemen's agreement" provided reassurances to the Telangana people. For at least five years, revenue was to be spent in the regions proportionately to the amount they contributed. Education institutions in Telangana were to be expanded and reserved for local students. Recruitment to the civil service and other areas of government employment such as education and medicine was to be proportional. The use of Urdu was to continue in the administration and the judiciary for five years. The state cabinet was to have proportional membership from both regions and a deputy chief minister from Telangana if the chief minister was from Andhra and vice versa. Finally, the Regional Council for Telangana was to be responsible for economic development, and its members were to be elected by the members of the state legislative assembly from the region. When, none of these are implemented , how can anyone justify that a combined state is better.

Hi All, Everyone should understand the fact that injustice is done to Telangana. Development in Telangana doesn't mean only the hike in real estate prices of Hyd and RR Dist. Telangana is beyond these two districts.... The agriculture in Telangana is very reliable because it is less prone to cyclones. There are power plants like Ramagundam, Kothagudem, Nagarjun sagar, srisailam and Sriram sagar but still the people of telangana are deprived of Electricity.... we the people of Telangana first of all do not have enough water to cultivate our lands ( Thanks to the governments so far for their lack of political will in digging irrigation canals) even if we manage to get water thru borewells/ wells we do not have enough electricity to get the water out and cultivate our farms.….. Flouride problem in Nalgonda district was rightly highlighted in elections once by filing over 400 nominations for the Nalgonda Loksabha seat the problem still persists this is a classic example of the gross negligence and lack of political will of the leaders to develop this area. The issue is not KCR or Naidu, it is the problems of Telangana people and the injustice done to them. Today people are behind KCR because he is rightly highlighting their pain areas and creating hope in them while others failed to recognize and act on them. Telangana has all the resources to become a developed region (in all aspects) in India and I hope it becomes one very soon. I think Telangana people would be happy if the region is developed by bringing irrigation canals, implementing 610 GO and giving sufficient electricity to farmers. Going farward the government should stop step motherly treatment towards the region and should give due share in all developmental activities. For these to happen, Seperate state can be one of the solutions but it is certainly not the only one.....

Telangana separate state? We know that the Andhra Pradesh has three regions Rayalaseema, Telangana and Andhra. If Telengana is divided into a separate state then tomorrow Rayalaseema and Andhra become two other different states. If AP is divided into separate states, who will be benefited? Not a common man, only the corrupted politicians will be benefited. Friends don't give that chance again to ugly and fat politicians. Unity is strength. Again don't become the victims of "Divide and Rule" policy. Question your self. You are independent and no body gonna help you. This is your state... This is your country... This is your World...It is in your hands to build your nation... Thanks...

Andhra Pradesh is one state. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi tried for UNITY. In the law of union(the supreme power) there may be some problems and issues which are bound to be there and they should be resolved to gain complete control over the state if not it is going to be the never ending problem. Andhra and Telangana are two eyes or two hands or two legs so I prefer to be a strong person with its unity than a handicapped by seperating it.

We don't like to seperate us by drawing boundaries. We should think seriously to solve the existing problems, i don't think seperation would solve the problem. it would make superficial change due to the promises of new politicians. but we need to solve the problems like, poverty, unemployment, in adequate health, Illiteracy. We shld think to solve all thse from root causes. Every organisation, country is trying to merge or have an agreement with in their region to go ahead n the world. Instead of thinking to seperate we should think what we can do to make our state prosperous. Hope Every one think on this to have a united state.

I pity gullible students and intellectuals of Telangana for falling prey to cheap gimmicks of KCR. He doesnt want Andhrites to come to telangana and seek Jobbs if so why are his children robbing US citezens of their jobs. They sshould go back to telangana and seek oppurtunities there only. All this is crap dont be misled by KCR. Where was he all these years while in power, did he ever discuss Telangana publicly never. he was busy making money and creating assets for himself and his children. If he is interested in telgana's development let him fight on issue basis rather than splitting telugu ccommunity on regional sentiments
