Chant Your Way To The Lord’s Feet!

When we talk about chanting of the Lord’s name, many people question how it can give us all that we need. The right answer can only come from those who chant regularly and have experienced power of the Lord’s name. God has always recommended dependence on him. All we need to do is to leave things to him and believe that he has the best plan for us. Patience is the key to realize the wonderful plan of the Lord as in unfolds.

There’s a small story that might bring to us the habit of remembering the Lord at all times like our elders did. A king and his minister where exploring the woods when they got tired and decided to rest under a tree. While they were resting the minister muttered Rama Rama Rama. After sometime the king grew hungry and suggested that they should go and find food. The minister politely declined the offer and continued to chant. The king did not understand why chanting the Lord’s name was more important to the man than his hunger.

So, the king left along in search of food. After a lot of searching, he came to a house and asked for food. Once he took his meal, he requested the inmates of the house to pack some for his minister. The king brought the food to the minister and called him foolish for not going in search of food. The reply of the minister made the king realize a simple truth that most of us fail to realize. He said that by simply chanting the name of the Lord, he got food without having to search for it. We must earn from this story that chanting the name of the Lord can give us anything, be it food or salvation.
