Story:

Another movie of this season, based on sister-sentiment. Annavaram (Pawan Kalyan) sends his affectionate sister Sandhya (Varalakshmi) to Hyderabad after her marriage with Shiva Balaji, who lives in Nampally, Hyderabad. Puranapool Ganga, a rowdy belongs to Old City kills his childhood friend Narasimham (Venu Madhav) when he starts to leave for Dubai. Annavaram senses threat to his sister and in-law from these ruffians, and sends them back to his village and takes on the rowdies of Hyderabad who frighten innocent.

Analysis

Pawan Kalyan appeared as mellowed and balanced artist without missing his own style of action. There is only one song with good choreography that goes along Pawan. He maintained tempo in action scenes and excelled in emotional and sentiment shots. Sandhya is OK as his sister. Venu Madhav, Telangana Sakunthala, L.B.Sri Ram and Hema justified their characters. There is no much scope to Asin's performance. Naga Babu's action is quite off-the-cuff.

Ramana Gogula went on with same tunes that he usually composes for Pawan. Songs 'annayya annavante eduravana...', 'jarra sooreedu....', and 'aakasam, neer....' are catchy. Tamil music director Dina's background score elevates the mood of this movie. Cinematography is very scenic and especially in fight scenes it is applaudable. Abburi Ravi's dialogues are convincing. He wrote wonderful dialogues for a scene on Brahmaji and Pawan.

‘Annayya annavante…’ stirs emotions. All the other songs are also written well.

Gautam Raju’s editing is impeccable. Action scenes are shot interestingly; one that follows interval, fight with Ashish Vidyarthi and almost all are taken well.

By all means, far better than Pawan Kalyan’s last movie ‘Bangaram’. It’s an upsurge for Pawan and his fans at the turn of 2007.
